Sparks

Sparks is closed to new enrollment for 2025-26.

Sparks, our intermediate preparatory program, introduces more advanced technique to young dancers who are ready to make a deeper commitment to dance. This program is geared towards children 6-8 with dance experience. Performances may include local events, JWSD recital, and/or Body Talk Shows. Dancers learn routines in each ballet, tap, and jazz. 

This program is open to dancers ages 6-8, as this is the age that they need to become a bit more serious about their dancing. The kids that join Sparks are focused, committed to improvement, and are more connected with each other and their teachers than our dancers that take once weekly recreational classes. Sometimes it is hard to believe the difference between the group of dancers that walked into those first few classes versus who we see by the end of the year
