Registration for recreational dance classes is open year-round, though performing classes will close to new enrollment on Feb. 1, 2026. 

JWSD's children's recreational classes run from Sept. 2nd, 2025 - May 28th, 2026 and are open to ages 1.5-12 years. Classes meet once weekly for 45 minutes to an hour and a half. We allow new enrollment in all of our recreational classes until February 1st, 2026. After this date, there will be a more limited schedule of open classes available to new students.

JWSD offers some adult classes, often based on request/interest. For the 2025-26 session, we have a couple classes in ballet and tap available to adults. Email registration@jwsdcrosspark.com to inquire about adult classes with JWSD, including requests for classes not currently available.

Registration for 2025-26 is closed! 

Our Sparks program will begin in September 2025 and continue through May 2026. These dedicated dancers take twice a week and study Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. The Sparks program prepares dancers for a more serious commitment to dance. Many of our Sparks go on to join Body Talk Dance Company, our pre-professional company.

Registration for our technique classes is open year-round.

JWSD offers technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. These classes continue year-round. Tech classes are attended by members of JWSD's dance company, Body Talk. Body Talk has 4 "tech levels" that are increasingly advanced. Non-company members are welcome to register for technique classes, but a dancer's admission to the class is at the discretion of the teacher and Body Talk's company director. 

If you're interested in registering your dancer for technique classes or joining Body Talk Dance Company for the 2026-27 session, email bodytalk@jwsdcrosspark.com to discuss placement and/or requirements.

Our current JWSD dancers in the recreational program can bring a friend to class once a month during our new "Bring a Friend" week events!

Every month on the last Friday that JWSD is open (excludes holidays!) from 6 pm to 9 pm, we will host a parents' night out (PNO) event! Kids ages 3-12 are invited to participate. 

The New Years Eve Sleepover is back! Kids ages 5+ are welcome to register for the event.

 JWSD camps are open to kids ages 3-12 years old and run from 10am-3pm from Monday-Friday except for camps with a week-day holiday, e.g., Fall Break Dance Camp from Monday-Wednesday because of Thanksgiving on Thursday.
