Open House - Sat, Aug. 29 & Sun, Aug. 30

JWSD’s Open House is a weekend-long opportunity for kids (current students and non-students alike are encouraged to attend!) ages 18m-12yrs to try out some of our recreational classes, which include subjects such as ballet, tap, tumbling, jazz, hip hop, and k-pop! Kids can attend any age appropriate demo class during the open house event free of charge, but they must be registered to participate. 

This year we will also have a pop-up shop open at the studio during the Open House offering massively discounted new and used dance attire, including leotards, ballet shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes, sports bras, tights, and more. Note: Special offer for new families detailed below - don't miss out!

Students attending the event do not need dance attire, but should come in comfortable activewear (e.g., fitted shorts & tee, leggings, etc.) and bring a water bottle. We will have a selection of loaner dance shoes available to borrow for the demos for those taking a class that includes ballet or tap. 

Many of our recreational classes are combos of 2-3 subjects, for example our Dance Combo I includes equal parts ballet, tap, and tumbling. We’ve set up the Open House schedule to nearly mirror the weekend class schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 session, so most of the demo classes will officially open the following week at the same time – except for the various hip hop classes on Sunday, Aug. 30. Our hip hop classes are only available on weekday afternoons/evenings this year. 

Students that are new to JWSD and officially enroll in a class during the Open House event can show our staff their confirmation email/enrollment in the JWSD portal and select the full set of dancewear and shoes necessary for the class free of charge. For example, a Dance Combo I student can select a leotard (new or used) & tights (new), ballet shoes (used), and tap shoes (used). 

We have a limited stock of dance attire, so note that this offer is only while supplies last! There will be JWSD staff & volunteers available to help with registration and/or finding the right attire. 

Checklist of Requirements for the Special Offer:

1. New to JWSD – no prior enrollments/returning students. 
2. Officially enrolled – not registered as a trial student.
3. Enrolled during the Open House – that’s why it’s special!

Reminder for newly registered families that aren’t able to claim this special offer, you should still come! We’re going to be selling the dance attire at wildly low prices already – come take advantage of our need to clear out studio space and snag what you need for a fraction of the price.
