JWSD Cross Park, a family business dedicated to children and dance for over 40 years in Austin, Tx
Three generations deep over nearly five decades, JWSD is a family-owned and operated business that is deeply rooted in our local community and passionate about dance, not just for the beauty of the art form but for the connection, strength, and positivity it brings into our lives and the lives of our children. At the heart of our mission is an unwavering belief that every child, regardless of their economic background, deserves a chance to dance.
Our recreational program offers combo classes of tap, ballet, jazz, and/or gymnastics, as well as acro, hip hop, and k-pop classes. We have a showcase at the end of every year where our recreational dancers display what they've learned with a choreographed routine. For the most passionate and committed dancers, check out our pre-professional children’s company, Body Talk, which provides a dedicated platform to build their skills and experience what its like to be a member of a team and an artistic community. These dancers take multiple technique classes weekly, perform 3-4 times a year, compete, and attend local conventions to improve their skills.
