Teen/Adult Classes
Overview
JWSD varyingly offers some Beginner/Intermediate level teen and adult classes. If you are looking for a class that we do not offer, feel free to reach out!
Intermediate to advanced dancers ages 10 and up should email registration@jwsdcrosspark.com to discuss options for joining in the pre-professional dance company's technique classes as non-company members. Certain class requirements may apply.
Teen/Adult Tap
Our recreational teen/adult class is an hour long and open to all experience levels, whether your seeking to learn a new skill or excited to dust off your old tap shoes! Students must be at least 14 or older, though the majority of our tappers are adults between the ages of 25-60. Teens looking for a more rigorous tap class should reach out about taking with our dance company on Wednesdays.
Important Information
Session: These classes start September 1st and will continue throughout the year at the same time until the end of May. Students can join at any time during the year.
Trial: We welcome students to register for a trial lesson before committing for the year.
Tuition/Fees: Upon full enrollment, you will be charged a $50 registration fee and the monthly tuition. The tuition is $90/monthly from Sept 1 - May 30. Students enrolled after the session has started will be charged a prorated fee based on the number of classes they are attending that month.
Dress Code: Please come in comfortable clothing you can move in -- we have some tap shoes to loan out for those of you new to the subject.
Showcase: All students in these classes are invited to participate with their class in our annual showcase during the last month of the session, your teacher will discuss with you as a class if that is something you're interested in doing! Our showcase date is TBD pending confirmation of a performance venue.
Drop Notice: To drop from the class before the end of the session, please email dropnotice@jwsdcrosspark.com by the first day of your last month (e.g., March 1st to drop on April 1st) to avoid the next month's tuition charge and provide notice to your teacher.
